The Scotiabank Convention Centre, in Niagara Falls, (SCCN) is Niagara’s largest meetings and events facility and is located within the Fallsview Tourist District, which offers: quick and easy access to over 5,000 luxurious hotel rooms; world-class dining; electrifying casinos and colourful entertainment venues; and an assortment of retail boutiques, that are minutes from the thundering Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
The 280,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility officially opened its doors in April 2011, and has since welcomed hundreds of thousands of guests and visitors to a variety of public consumer shows, tradeshows, meetings, theatrical performances, and conventions. The SCCN features a wide variety of flexible spaces that can accommodate grand scale events within its 82,000 sq. ft. free-span exhibit hall, and 17,000 sq. ft. Peller Estates Ballroom; as well as providing intimate boutique-like spaces within its 56,000 sq. ft. pre-function, meeting rooms and 1,000-seat Fallsview Theatre.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)* Silver designed facility minimizes its carbon footprint in Niagara by providing an eco-friendly environment, with services and initiatives reflective of its goals to be an innovator of the unconventional and a model of a new class of ‘green’ conventions and meetings facility committed to sustainability and community leadership.
The ‘Add a Bit of Anna’ program at the SCCN combines Anna Olson’s, the Centre’s endorsing celebrity chef, regional and seasonal mantra into each and every menu selection creating mouth-watering culinary creations reflective of Niagara’s rich and abundant selection of fresh meats and produce. Field-to-table menu selections designed (in partnership with Ms. Olson), and artfully crafted and delivered with the assistance and talents of Centerplate food professionals, the Centre’s exclusive food & beverage provider.
